“There is no such thing as a free lunch”

… but ideas cost nothing and while the words “crunch” and “credit” are getting cosy with each other, we thought we could

all do with a free idea or two.

So while marketing budgets are potentially heading for a short back & sides, it is often staff events – team building & Xmas parties to get the chop.  But why avoid them all together when you can have just as much fun on a fraction of the cost?  Try the following out for team building:

  1. set up a company mixed doubles tennis tournament at a club or public courts near your offices
  2. have a “diamond geezer” night out at the dogs
  3. play a giant Monopoly treasure hunt on bicycles
  4. take a synchronized swimming masterclass in your local swimming pool

And for Xmas festivities:

  1. go ice skating then dive into a well-deserved a “gastro burger” in one of London’s many new burger kitchens
  2. “The boss has been killed – with a candlestick – in the drawing room!”  Murder-mystery comes to your office
  3. get into the spirit with excerpts from classic black & white Christmas movies with Hollywood anecdotes from our expert
  4. fill the top floor of your local gastro-pub with giant games.  IT & Accounts v The Rest of the Company?
